"OH NO! SOUND THE ALARMS! FNAS 2 IS BEING CANCELLED!"
No, turn that thing off.
Considering that I have not posted a dev report in days, it would be appropriate to assume the game is doomed to be cancelled. But, this assumption is wrong.
FNaS 2 is not being cancelled. I was planning to release the demo before the end of the month, but multiple variables have prevented that.
First of all, there's production roadblocks. I'm having trouble with the animations, and Blender generally being uncooperative. I definitely underestimated my abilites in terms of animation, and overall became demoralized. After animating Maxy's jumpscare I suddenly lost a lot of motivation. Which leads to the second reason production has halted.
I really haven't been very motivated with the game. Not only am I somewhat unsatisfied with the result, but I have been struggling with rather intense mental health issues recently and would much rather just pathetically sit at my desk watching YouTube than pathetically sit at my desk getting mad about Blender animation. However, I have some free time for a couple days now in a phenomenon known as the weekend, and am planning to get some work done on the game during that time.
In the meantime, I'm sorry for making you wait. The demo will be coming out in the next couple weeks, and the full version will be out by the end of June.
Thanks for being patient.
Sincerely, your severely demoralized game dev,
-DKrazy
