Update

With the cancellation of GNTeaser Remastered and the internal redesign of Goodbye Neighbor itself, we have decided to split the development of this fangame into two branches.

  • Goodbye Neighbor Legacy (GNL)

  • Goodbye Neighbor Final (GNF)

GNL includes all the progress we've made since early 2019. It was originally supposed to feature different acts, each one taking place in a different Hello Neighbor alpha. Everything was connected by a storyline similar to the full game's, and the gameplay would also have been an exact copy of the old pre-alpha. To make sure all the work we've done until now isn't wasted in any way, we will continue this branch until the main core is finished enough.

We created an archive for the future release of these builds. It can be found at https://gamejolt.com/games/goodbyeneighborlegacy/593356

GNF, the more finalized version of Goodbye Neighbor, will have original map layouts, some mechanics picked from the original Hello Neighbor Kickstarter and modified to be more sandbox-like, many cinematic cutscenes to briefly but properly explain what is happening, and new darker lore written from the ground up with a few inputs from what seemed to be the original storyline.

For now, there won't be many updates on the GNF branch, as the game isn't finished enough. We will actively work on GNL though.

We also updated the page once again, this time with a new animated thumbnail and a slightly different description.

That's all for today.

Today I was setting up the location of the first boss. His name is "Father" and he is the first of the Patagonians. His task is to guard the road to the House.🛡🗡 Bookmark pre-launch page🔖🔖🔖

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.
