Hey folks, how’s it going?
First of all, I just wanna say I am incredibly flattered by the response my little game has been generating thus far. It’s unbelievable, honestly, from people taking their time doing some let’s play videos to supporting the game by buying it, or just leaving a comment! It’s just so nice of you, thank you so much for doing that! :D
I have been taking my time analyzing what the next patch could consist of based on the feedback the game has been receiving. It’s cooking up, and I can say that I have a pretty good idea of what I can perform for .defrag next, including possibly more details about the world and some minor functional fixes.
I’ve seen many people getting confused about the first gameplay minutes probably to the point of ragequitting, and that’s totally fine, if not expected actually. The game was designed for that purpose, not just for the sake of being unconventional and confusing — the non-linearity and labyrinthine exploration serve the purpose of building up what happens next, and the game kinda rewards your persistence and patience with more… happenings and details I can’t spoil. :)
Now, I can’t tell my user base what to do or how to play my game, as I think it would be rather pointless. In my opinion, I don’t think it’s a game for impatient players or people who seek that sort of “kick” or adrenaline rush. It’s a game for people that like to take their time exploring around and getting something out of their experience. The first areas are pretty much designed to “test” what kind of player are you, for better or worse. Love it or hate it, that’s not my problem.
So yeah, I could tell you more about it, but honestly I’d just like to let you guys experience the game for what it is so you can draw your own conclusions. I’m honestly very curious to hear what your interpretations would be like if you manage to finish the game.
See you around, and as always, stay tuned for more. ;)
