User Interface Development

We have been putting in a lot of work towards a new pre-alpha build recently. Today has been all about polishing up the main menu user interface. It’s all coming along rather nicely. We’ll hopefully have the build wrapped up and in front of our pre-alpha players soon!

Our user interface system runs on CoherentGT, an excellent plugin for Unity that allows you to design and develop your UIs in HTML, CSS and JavaScript as the whole thing essentially adds the Chromium engine to your game. We have this bridged to our Lua modding interface, which in turn has access to the game’s APIs. All completely rewritable and mod-friendly!

I have added rewards for quests so that villagers can give you something in return for your hard work helping them. 🥳

I want to know - what's your favourite quest reward?

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.
