UT:O Demo Update released


We’ve just released an Update to Undertale: Orange! Here is an overview of what’s changed:

A New Engine

We’ve successfully ported UT:O to the latest and greatest GameMaker Studio 2023. This makes it easier for us to develop the game and gives us access to new features, as well as fixing the built-in installer that got bricked for newer versions of Windows at some point.

A New Area

The area that was previously teased all the way back in 2019 is now accessible! It includes a new minigame. The credits have been moved past this area.

Tons of bugfixes!

This update contains dozens of tweaks and fixes that were way overdue since the final release. Thanks to everyone who reported bugs, commented and reviewed our game. We’re constantly listening to feedback on how to make Undertale: Orange a better game.

Speaking of bugs, please let us know if you find anything that can be improved/fixed, we test each version before release, but we can’t guarantee that nothing was missed/overlooked. Don’t hesitate to contact us at [email protected] or on our GameJolt. Thanks!

A number of users have reported issues with downloading / running the installer. As you're downloading an exe file, some antivirus software might automatically report it as a potentially unwanted program. You can safely ignore these messages and run the installer. Feel free to double-check the file hashes as well, for added security. This GameJolt page is currently the only place where you can officially download Undertale: Orange.

As for the future, we’re currently exploring ways to natively support those of you using the GameJolt Client. The game in its current state may not be able to run from the launcher.

Pre-alpha Hello Just a quick update. We are currently in pre-alpha in the nabstablook zone. We will upload an alpha version which will be full ruins experience. Expect the alpha on somewhere between May and June

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!

It's now possible to destroy some of the obstacles and gain access to new locations or create shortcuts. #gamedev #indiegame #rpg
