Hello everyone!
So recently I've been in a rush to remake all my games to the best of my abilities since I'm still in school and looking for a uni to join classes in. But in parallel, I am still making games and silly projects. My primary place for that (for a long long time was GameJolt). But recently, GameJolt's new approach to running a game making and gaming platform is making me refrain from using it as my primary outlet. So I have decided to expand my reach on Itch.io and my own personal site.
I have been remaking it, making it much more sleek and modern. I am heavily inspired by the fluent design language, and I'm calling it "Laminartoshi". It combines all my design principles into one package and comes in FlagimFlow-Laminar and -Micro (Laminar being used in Web and App development and Micro referring to pixel art and being pixel consistent). When working with a website, it is modern but incorporates a skeuomorphic twist on it, by allowing for tactile interactions and responding to different environments very well. Check my latest design ideas at my cutting edge design playground.
I'm very pleased with Laminartoshi in my games too. It is harder to implement, but you'll probably be going to see the transition soon. UI elements have a frosted glass appearance and be fully scalable. The fully scalable part is already implemented in my two latest remakes of UTRCraft and Claudia, but is coming to Fakehole Island too.
I am currently unaware how long it's going to take me rewriting all my projects, but be sure to follow me making this reality (along with finally going into the next phase of my busy busy life)
Thanks for reading! I hope you have fun!
Best Regards!
