v0.0.3
(very short article this is just two quick fixes)

Basically the same as v0.0.2 except this time I think I've ACTUALLY fixed the slowdown thing, finally ran into it myself and found out that the font is created in a separate place it shouldn't be that can repeat itself. Fingers crossed I got it this time.

Also fixed being able to infinitely combo the dummy in phase 2 due to the crit launch not turning on invincibility like its phase 1 counterpart, thus allowing for the ability to continuously reactivate the startup and preventing it from attacking at all.

Next up

just a hunch but I think I might have problems focusing

Finished? Not in the slightest. Playable, on the other hand, is a term I can use.

Given how long this took, this is nothing by the standards of others, but by mine it's a lot.

Would provide .exe, but I think that pushes it out of devlog and I'm not ready.

You ever just think about working on actually creating the game then end up making a title screen instead?

Whoops.

At least it looks good, I'll add an opponent and maybe crowd later. First, no more distractions for now... aaand I've opened TF2. Dammit.

A long while back I saw many posts about new developers putting too many eggs in one basket and realised that's what I was doing and started making a spinoff so I was focused on something smaller. I think I'll give it a separate page.

progress wow

(yeah I procrastinated again)

First (non-test) battle is finished and yknow what, bugger it, here's a playable build loaded with the good stuff and somewhat thoroughly bug tested for the most game-breaking stuff. Enjoy it, please.

Finally, something playable(?)

I call 'em Prucie and Lydena. (Prucie's the one with the knife, it's short for Pruscilla.)

One's active to a fault, the other's far more nervous and reserved. They're also really close friends.

At this point I could very well abandon this thing entirely, almost no one knows it exists, I'm the only one working on it and it's barely even a walking simulator.

Regardless, here's something so I can say I've made something recently.

The thumbnail and header have been updated. I've also added the character portraits to the media section of the page.
