So Lasting really became a lot more popular than I expected, and I’ve been meaning to release an update for a while but I’ve just been so busy. I managed to find time this weekend though.
A lot of people were prompting me to add a way to win the game after collecting a certain amount of disks, but I haven’t done this and probably won’t for a couple of reasons. Firstly, because too many people are already thinking of the game as green pixelated Slender (I actually began work on this before playing Slender), but mainly because Lasting isn’t meant to be played to win, or even to get a high score; it’s meant to be played for the experience.
What I have done is made the entity become more aggressive more quickly, and it is also more versatile. This is still affected by depth, not the amount of disks.
Also, there are several bugs that I have made less frequent, but they may still occur from time to time. I look into fixing them quite literally whenever I have a moment spare.
Enjoy the update.
P.S. Another thanks to RockLeeSmile for featuring the game on Indie Impressions, it has certainly helped a lot. I hope some of you will head on over there, his critiques are very interesting. Perhaps even leave a donation so that he can continue to help out indie developers?
