... unless I find another game-breaking bug. This update's mostly just a bunch of QoL stuff.
ADDITIONS
The game now creates an MMFApplications folder on your computer if it doesn't already exist - this should fix any issues with the game not saving properly on first boot.
Split the "Subtitles/CC" setting into two settings: "Subtitles" and "Sound Captions".
Subtitles are captions for dialogue, such as phone calls, and Sound Captions are captions for important sound cues. Basically now you can have subtitles for calls without having captions for sound effects, which some players might've found distracting beforehand.
(Note: You need to have subtitles active to use Sound Captions.)Added "Blur Effects" setting that lets you toggle, well, blur effects. In some places, this reduces the blur effects instead of removing them entirely.
Added a sound caption for the music on the main menu.
Added animations to subtitle changes. (and also a few other bits of text)
The AI values on the Overtime screen now fade to red the closer they are to their max values.
Added a page counter to the Credits section of the Bonuses menu to make it clearer that there are, in fact, multiple pages.
CHANGES
Slightly updated the "first time startup" message. (the one that recommends turning on the "Reduce Flashing" setting)
Slightly updated the Warning screen text.
Reformatted the Settings screen to reduce the size of the buttons, making it easier to fit more settings.
The "Reduce Flashing" setting now removes flickering static from all screens that have it.
Subtitles now fade out at the end of each line where it makes sense, instead of persisting longer than necessary.
Made the subtitle letterbox slightly smaller vertically and changed the font for the subtitles.
Changed a few sound captions and their display times.
Changed the font used if "Alt String Font" is enabled.
Slightly changed a few minigame dialogue lines.
Night 3's minigame's last objective now has its navigation arrow thing split in two; it now directs you to where you need to go, then to the object you need to interact with once you're able to see it.
Slightly altered some effects to be less distracting. (In particular, the defocus effect on the main menu since it made reading the poster on the Night 1 background really annoying)
Updated some character descriptions in the Characters section of the Bonuses menu.
Slightly altered some animations in the Bonuses menu.
Reformatted the credits and changed some details.
Changed The Watcher's Overtime description to clarify that its max AI value is 5 instead of 20.
Reduced the amount of background motion on the 6AM and Bonuses screens.
Redesigned the dialogue box for the EOTW/SOAN cutscene, making it look much nicer. (It's also lower down, so it doesn't cover up the on-screen text!)
Many other small improvements and changes.
FIXES
Fixed the Loading icon on the Bonuses screen not properly sliding out.
Fixed subtitles not being properly aligned horizontally.
Fixed various subtitle errors and issues. (typos, timing, accuracy, etc.)
