Hey everyone!

I'm happy to announce the Baldi's Basics Plus version 0.14.4 is now available! This update fixes several bugs that were in the game, primarily bugs introduced in the last few updates. Thank you all for reporting these issues!

Changes

  • Changed the voice sample that plays when changing the volume of voices in the settings.

  • Saving and quitting is now enabled while playing in explorer mode.

  • When the fog event is ending, NPCs now regain their full visibility distance after the fog is totally clear, rather than the moment it begins to disappear.

  • Added chalk erasers, super stretchy gloves, faculty nametags and invisibility elixirs to the pool of items that can be dispensed by a crazy vending machine.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed map marker icons not expanding when highlighted.

  • Fixed an issue where Baldi's sound queue would be cleared when getting sent to detention or teleported by Arts & Crafters even if the sound made by those events was silenced

  • Changed the sound of being sent to detention from being based on the player's position to the center of the principal's office. This fixes an issue where, if the principal tried sending the player to detention while unable to interact with the player (Squished, opposite orientation, etc.), Baldi would hear the sound at the player's position, rather than in the principal's office.

  • Fixed an oversight with how the new AudioSourceManager system handled queuing audio of different types.

  • Fixed a few minor issues with text/captions (Spelling, grammar, etc.).

  • Fixed a bug where clicking the yes button to confirm quitting from the pause menu while in the field trip mode wouldn't do anything.

  • Added support for Entity audio propagation overrides and audio filters to work when an entity has multiple propagated audio sources on it. This fixes issues such as First Prize's motor not being heard in vents.

  • Fixed an issue where propagated audio sources would be instantiated with PlayOnAwake enabled when waking. This caused warnings to be logged in certain scenarios.

  • Fixed Student Shuffle giving the player the ability to silently open doors by walking into them.

  • Fixed Student Shuffle students not opening doors as they pass through them (There may currently still be some exceptions however).

  • Fixed an issue where, if a Student Shuffle line was overlapping and moving in opposite directions through a cell where a portal needed to be created, it would create an endless loop of teleporting entities back and forth between the two portals.

  • Fixed a bug that caused Arts and Crafters' timer that determines how long you have looked at him to count up even when not all notebooks have been collected. This could cause an issue where the value would already be built up before collecting the last notebook which would cause him to become angry at the player much more quickly than intended.

  • Fixed a bug that caused the title theme to not play when changing music volume from the main menu.

  • Fixed an issue where saving and quitting from the pause menu in the pit stop while in explorer mode would result in the game being saved and, when loaded, start the saved game in normal mode.

  • Fixed a bug where saving and quitting through the pause menu after clearing a level in normal mode after losing a few power tubes would not refill the power tubes as intended.

  • Fixed a bug where Playtime would turn around when losing sight of the player even when they have the Faculty Nametag status.

  • Fixed an issue where Arts and Crafters could appear in non-hall rooms, such as even spawn rooms, under certain conditions.

  • Fixed event spawner rooms not being marked off limits. This will prevent certain issues, such as whirlpools appearing inside of them, from occurring.

  • Fixed a bug where clicking the packet-o-matic during a screen transition would open the sticker screen while not freezing the game, allowing the player to move with the screen open.

  • Fixed a bug which caused the last elevator map icon in a level with multiple elevators to turn white instead of remaining green once all the other elevators in the levels had been reached.

  • Changed the seed of the randomized elements in the tutorial as a water fountain was generating on top of a poster.

  • The ceilings of cafeterias are now blocked, which should fix floating vent exits spawning in cafeterias.

  • Fixed the wormhole room lockdown doors not correctly displaying their open/closed state on the map.

  • Fixed a level generation error which would occur when the generator would attempt to place a power lever in a level where there is no room for one.

  • Fixed the hanging light cables found in the cafeteria not being affected by fog.

  • Fixed light fixtures not being culled.

  • Fixed the cords holding cranes not being affected by fog.

  • Fixed a bug that would sometimes cause classroom exterior signs to not generate in pre-made levels.

  • Fixed a bug which would cause the camera to face a different direction for a single frame when jump rope started.

  • Fixed a bug where using the teleporter item on the first frame the player can control the game would allow them to skip Baldi's countdown. To prevent this, items can no longer be used on the first frame of gameplay.

  • Fixed the grappling hook's pulling speed not being affected by the environment time scale.

  • Fixed a bug that allowed you to keep an extra inventory slot selected after losing it when losing a Backpack sticker in endless mode.

Known Issues

  • NPCs occasionally getting stuck against walls

  • NPCs can collide between solid surfaces.

  • A frame perfect pause right before the next level begins loading allows the pause menu to be on-screen while the loading takes place.

  • Since The Test ignores the environment time scale, it can explode even during time scale changes that should affect it, such as when the environment freezes while flipping during Gravity Chaos

  • In the laboratory level type, class rooms that appear to be in one zone sometimes actually count for another zone.

  • Sticker tutorial voice lines sound different from the others.

  • Quickly Pausing/Unpausing can result in the game not rendering while unpaused (Also applies to the Packet-O-Matic)

  • Whirlpools can teleport entities to the inside of hallway pillars

  • Completing an activity in a room attached to a locked room will attempt to unlock the locked room doors.

  • Placing an alarm clock in a doorway prevents the door from being clicked

  • Captions are more likely to stack on top of each other and become hard to read due to the new sound propagation system.

  • Mrs. Pomp's map time is oddly placed in odd shaped rooms.

  • Seeds show in pre-made map elevators.

  • Held sprites (Such as when holding a balloon) use the lighting of OOB when held against a wall.

  • CoreGameManager sounds stack and then play all at the same time when the environment is frozen.

  • Maps from saved sessions are bugged when updating from an older version with different level generation.

  • PotT doesn't open/close doors while fleeing from the tape.

  • Opening the advanced map while inside the locker causes visual issues.

  • Invalid Portal Poster sound doesn't always play when attempting to place a Portal Poster.

  • Entity lighting and visibility constantly fluctuates based on the below cells while traveling though vents.

  • Using the Hourglass sticker in explorer mode causes the incorrect time limit to appear.

  • Entities can occasionally be seen clipping through the walls of vents due to the way they can crisscross

  • Beans will repeatedly run back and forth if he sees the player but there is an obstacle between them requiring him to move away around a corner to try and approach them

  • One-way doors that fail to generate and revert to swinging doors still keep one-way icon on map

  • Pressing opposite directions in advanced map causes slow movement.

  • Arts and Crafters' echoes don't always match Crafters' orientation during Gravity Chaos.

  • On some screen resolutions, the elevator screen has gaps that can be seen through.

  • Lockdown doors near spawn can be seen snapping to the open position when game starts.

  • Extra stamina is still lost while running in the playground

  • MIDI player has an issue where, if music is played and then paused on the same frame, it will not play when unpaused.

  • Cords holding cranes will disappear in darkness while the cranes themselves do not.

  • Beans does not have a cooldown after getting hit with his own gum.

  • Cloudy Copter's wind is blocked by conveyor belts moving the opposite direction

  • Gum's splat sound effect can be cut off if it's removed before it's finished playing.

  • If an entity gets squished while gum is stuck to it, it won't render properly.
