Version 0.30


Well the new version of the game is finished! However since this is like I previously stated a rather large patch I’m keeping the last version on as a stable one.
Time to get to the good stuff WHAT IS IN THIS PATCH:
1.Reworked UI with new buttons and panels.
2.All of the NPC conversations have been reworked as well but some of the positions of character names are off a bit. (will be fixed in the next patch) A new npc conversation between level 9 and 10, Captain Seed introduced into the game.
3.Reworked HP bar (again). The hp bar now has new graphics and the bug where it wouldn’t detect the first damage dealt to the player has been fixed… Im still keeping my eye on that hp bar however I expect new suprizes.
4.Complex Damage System - Ok thats how I like to call my new really really long damage script rly cool name huh ? :D What does it mean well I have gone through the game and now when you get hit by an asteroid you lose 3 damage for example. A lot of other things in the game now do their own specific damage.
4.1 Explosions now do massive damage to stacked enemies, the damage they do to the player is still only 1(I reserve the right to change this value :P)! (This is an extension of the CDS system but a very important one so I felt the need to add it in here.)
5 Droppable HP! Yes the first droppable is now in the game in every level with multiple enemies. How does it works? Well in accordance to the player scaling the droppable hp heals the player with different values higher in higher lvls and lower in lower lvls. Also the chance that an enemy will drop hp for is based on the hardness of the levels if the levels are very hard you get more hp drops if not you get less of them.
5.1 Move Fast (An Extension Of Droppable HP) - Hp drops are only around for 4 seconds they flash between red and white with increasing speed as their about to go out!
6 HP text - as promised in my previous post there is an hp text display right next to the health bar in the new version of the game! This should help us deal with that unreliable hp bar !(Even though it should be fixed now…)

NEXT PATCH:

Sideways movement or strafe controls - I want to do a little tinkering and add sideways movement for the playership.
First Power UP - After the first droppable I want to include the first power up for the player.(What will this be ? I still have no idea.)
New Animations - ok I know I dropped the ball on this one for this patch but I’ll include new Anims for the next edition of the game !

P.S. I am also working on a new game called Shadow World Its hidden for now but this time the graphics are custom and the graphics designer for the game is really good so I hope we can share some prototype character/monster and level designs with you guys!
