After thinking about it for like 3 days now? I have decided that Chapter 2 and 3 will not be released, hence marking Chapter 1 the entire game of Bequeath me a STETHOSCOPE. Is this a cancellation? I would not call it that but it fits the definition... Why? Do not be sad, as instead of ditching Chapter 2 and 3 altogether, I have decided that those 2 Chapters should be a part of a different game rather than this one. Just like THE Urban Legend, this game leaves you with a cliffhanger. Mentioning this, I realized that I teased a sequel to THE Urban Legend but ditched the game. My reasons:
This game being linked to Beneath the STETHOSCOPE is... not appropriate enough. Yes, it acknowledges the first one's existence but after reading through the story for Bequeath, no hospitals, no stethoscopes, no nothing, the only thing that is linked to anything about a hospital is the main character, who is a doctor, other than that, it could be its own game.
I have played a few other games and loving it, especially ones involving upgrades, currencies, and seed (RNG world). I want to add that to this game but Chapter 1 just leaves an awkward aura and does not fit with the other Chapters so I split it up.
The story that I have planned is like Marvel level story, it is weird for it to be apart of Beneath the STETHOSCOPE. I find it way, WAY easier if I just restart from the ground up and built it from there instead of linking it to the first one and slapping the "SEQUEL" title.
Relooking at the code for Chapter 1 is like a flashbang to my eyes. I have a bit of trouble remembering things so I am afraid when I start adding Chapters, I might break Chapter 1 and getting pissed at what the hell did I do wrong? Making a new game, that white, pale code canvas? Now THAT is heaven to me, not blocks of code that I entirely forget after a vacation.
I make games on Scratch, I see a lot of my friends having trouble with the framerates and being the easily confused guy that I am, that demoralized me. I want to start a new game on TurboWarp.
Do not worry, as after posting this I will instantly jump into TurboWarp and code, trying to push a banger out somewhere in March. I learned a lot, A LOT from this game and I have a lot of plans for the new game and you guys will be excited about it as I do.
