Version 1.3.0. Final update?


Contra: Spirit of War had been updated to version 1.3.0. It seems, it is final update. Is it bad? No. I started development of this fangame back in 2015 and its code is really outdated even after all updates. I have many ideas to implement, but it's almost impossible at current stage of development. So, I plan to start new project. What is this new project? Stay tuned

Of course, I'll update CSoW: Redux if there are some bugs to fix so far.

Changelog:

  • New secret hero: Bill (Redux). He is unlocked at game start, but you have to find him by yourself.

  • Fixed bug during final boss battle.

  • Slightly hanged battles with some minibosses and bosses.

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)
