Known Issues
Apparently Chrono's Persistence ability broke...again. No idea how or why, but I guess I'll go try and fix it again.
Changelog
Added a method of preventing the player from accessing the Security boss until Lucas joins the party.
Fixed Callie and Chrono's fleeing sprites, so they should be static. Clearly, a very important change.
Updated Axel and Nebula's sprites (and some minor sprite changes for Chrono and Lucas) by @SpaceTimeWarrior
.Removed most of the colored text in the opening cutscene.
Gave Axel a 15% higher chance to evade attacks. This was planned from the beginning, but accidentally forgotten later in development.
Slightly changed the final boss to always be Level 10, regardless of the party's current levels.
Added a temporary debug mode for speedier testing purposes.
Don't worry, you aren't missing anything by not unlocking it. If you do manage to unlock it, however, do not send me bug reports while in this mode.
To Do List (in the future)
Add more NPCs to the Safe Zone.
Make the cutscenes for post-Lucy and post-Werewolf.
Make the cutscenes for the final boss.
Make the final boss a bit more interesting...which I have some ideas for...
Continue balancing the game (as always).
Add additional cutscenes for places like the game's opening.
I may even "animate" these cutscenes myself.
Complete any additional polishing, including:
Give the maps for Mechanical March, Demonic Domain, and Slithering Shadows a visual upgrade.
Give the final boss a custom sprite (have felt too lazy to open Photoshop for keying :P).
Give Slithering Shadows its own music.
Prevent the player from fighting Lucy until Chrono is in the party.
Prevent the player from fighting the Werewolf until Axel is in the party.
Allow the player to gain information about the enemies in battle.
Add additional name boxes for lots of the game's dialogue.
Remove any files that are not being used in the game to reduce the internal size.
This isn't as big a priority because the game is browser-only anyway. More of a "fix if planning on making a downloadable version" thing to do.
Maybe some...secrets to find?
Anything else that I'm currently not thinking of.
And now, a message from me to you:
This is likely the last version of the game that I'm posting for a little bit, as today/tomorrow is when this is due for the class, and I have upcoming finals next week. I have additional things I want to add to this game, but I need some extra time to put them in. Have patience, and sooner or later, I can make this game just that much nicer looking. Thanks for playing and sticking around for this long!
