> Major Changes
New Difficulty: Medium
- When creating your savefile, you'll now be prompted to select a difficulty. Easy mode is the version of Project Timeloop you have been playing, infinitely free iterations until you get enough to beat a level.
- In Medium Difficulty, you now have a lose condition. Now every time you lose with a ship that ship will cost more points the next time you want to use it. Running out of ships to be able to use ends in a Game Over.
- Some ships are free to use for your first iteration with them, but the more complex ships (like the bomb ship) are called "Premium Ships" and will cost more than the simpler ships (like the damage ship).
- The Ship costs are per-level, so clearing a level will reset all your ship costs!
- You can clear your iterations in the ship selection screen to reset their cost back to 0, but doing so will disqualify your current savefile from being able to enter the leaderboards.
New Premium Ship: Mirror
- A new ship has entered the ranks, the mirror ship can create a mirror aura, causing every bullet that enters it to duplicate.
- It has extremely low damage by itself, but when used correctly it can even double the damage of your entire fleet!
Points:
- The points system has completely been reworked. Now you get points by doing various game activities, killing enemies, bosses and newly added in this patch, grazing.
- The points you have achieved over the course of playing the level is added to your score, being multiplied based on how many iterations it took you to beat the level.
Grazing:
- When coming really close to a bullet (and not getting hit by it) you will graze that bullet, giving you some points, and making your special recharge faster.
- When bullets are in your grazing range your grazing range will appear as a transparent red square while focused.
- Each bullet can only be grazed once! Your past iterations can steal grazes from you, be careful.
Boss Timeouts and Perfect Clears
- Every phase of every boss will now have a time limit, hitting the time limit means you have endured the current phase long enough and the boss can move to it's next phase. But beating a boss phase by running into the time limit means you will not get the clear bonus!
- On the other side of the spectrum, if you beat a boss phase without your current iteration taking damage at all and without hitting the time limit, you will get a perfect clear with a generous point bonus!
Heavy Damage
- When any boss or enemy takes damage it will enter a version of an invulnerability state, during this state the damage it will take will be reduced (but it will never be 0). Using heavy damage to your advantage can help you kill bosses faster.
- You can tell if a hit does heavy damage by listening to the hit sound, it will be slightly more loud.
- Hitting an enemy during Heavy Damage Cooldown does not reset the heavy damage cooldown.
> Minor Changes
- The Level 1 Mid/Boss Has Been Reworked, with completely new attacks, more bosses will get reworks as time goes on.
- Healer can now heal Tank Ship's Shields.
- Past Iterations can now only die where they originally died. Meaning you will not have a past iteration not make it to a boss.
- Some UI elements will now become transparent when players go over them
- The Health Bar now shows you a how much health you have clearly instead of showing a percentage.
- Past iterations no longer show their hitboxes when they are focused.
- New sound effects have been added to various parts of the game
- Harder to see bullets have been recolored to make seeing them easier.

- Ships now have a healing animation
- The Tank Ship Shields have a new sprite, and have a visual effect when reflecting bullets.
- The Bomb now has an animation when it blows up.
- Added a feedback button for anonymous feedback.
> Balancing
- When a boss phase stage starts all ships have their specials replenish
- The Bomb Ship's Bullets and Bombs are now slower than the average bullet, the bomb ship can also shoot a bomb backward on focus.
- Sound Bullets have been reworked to no longer bounce off of each other but to duplicate when hitting walls
- The Damage Ship has been mostly reworked to keep it in line with Mirror.
- The Bomb Range has been increased dramatically
- The Triangular Shield of the Tank Ship has had it's HP be increased
- The Speed on the Level 2 Midboss Attack 1 has been increased
- The Final Boss' HP has been decreased to be more in line with Heavy Damage
> Bugfixes/Technical
- Savefile version has been upped from 1 to 3. Older savefiles will be marked as easy mode savefiles but their progress will not be reset. Your past iterations will be reset.
- Savefiles have been updated to reduce their sizes by around %40
- Explosion sizes on Level 4 Midboss Attack 3 has been made to reflect the size of the sprites
- A lot of systems in the background of the game, from movement to collision has been completely rewritten for performance.
- The game now predicts what sprites will appear at the start of a level and loads them all before starting the level, this should make the game utilize VRAM much better but in some certain PCs it might cause performance issues. Please do report any lag you experience in the game.
