Hello everyone!
This is the very first devlog about WotA (War of the ARchmages), an AR fantasy card game [currently being typed on a live stream on “Nesh’s Laboratory”].
The first episode focused on developing a quick and rough proof of concept to show the initial idea of the game.
At the beginning, with the use of EasyAR and some headache, the first card became alive! The only problem was that only exactly 1 card could be recognized at a given time.

That was easily fixed by changing the maximum amount of target allowed:

After that, adding multiple images was done in a very similar fashion. So several cards at once could be recognized and tracked.

For this week, that’s all. But for the following episode, the cards should be shown in a fully virtual environment, rather than an augmented one.

Follow the channel for staying updated about the next episode of Nesh’s Laboratory.
