End of the Line

Watch out! A wild Dev Log has appeared somewhere. Let's get into some of the newer features and have a serious discussion about the future of "End of the Line"

Hello everyone! This is Aiden again from Plummet Studios. First off, happy 100 followers!! Thanks so much for the support! This is another dev log but it will be structured slightly differently due to a semi-lack of progress on exciting new features for the game. There still will be some exciting things but this log contains lore and plenty of discussion on where “End of the Line” is going in the ideal future. So let’s start off with the features that are currently ready to be announced.

Updated Sounds: Sounds will now have the appropriate reverb based on the location where they play, this makes the game seem more alive but may help your struggles if you listen carefully during gameplay. I’ve also updated the monster’s various sounds include groans, growls, breathing, and screams to be more in line with the current direction and style for the game. This is pretty important and sets a great mood for the game.

Restructured “Story-line”: One of the main things that changed in “End of the Line” too much was how the game played out. I knew most of the events I wanted but I couldn’t properly place a location, time, or reason. With the updated beginning, you will now have a much more coherent and horror-based adventure. Interactions with the main enemy will be more limited to better keep the mystery around the creature. I’ve also added various things that are in reference to events happening in the ARG so that people not playing it can still have some idea of what is going on. These details will be released soon to help people better understand what is going on before things get… well… INTENSE!

And… that’s it for in-game changes. But as I said, that’s not the only thing we have to talk about today!

Merchandise!!!: Alright, so a great amount of you guys wanted merchandise as an option for funding the game… so I took the liberty in beginning the process of making some great designs that you guys can wear. The first round of merchandise will be apparel including but not limited to T-Shirts, Hoodies, and socks. The theme for this round of merchandise is “F.S.A. vs The Defiance.” People who don’t understand the reference will be filled in with a video explaining the main parts behind the game just to get updated. Basically, the F.S.A. stands for Federation for Scientific Anomalies and plays a crucial villain in the first “End of the Line” game. The Defiance is the resistance group started by civilians against the corruption in the F.S.A. Keep in mind, this is a pretty quick summary of a lot of story. Check the video in the next few weeks for more info. Expect the merch options to be available next week accompanied by a video! Also note that this will not be the only round of merch but may be the last to pick up some of these designs.

Kickstarter: As I said already, I will not be opening the Kickstarter (or whatever donation service I use) until I have a ready demo to accompany it! I’m holding true to that. However, I would like to talk about some perks for donating to me. This would include “Movie Nights”, “Behind-the-Scenes Content”, “Exclusive Interviews”, and discounts on merchandise… maybe even some sample merch before it’s even out… but I’m thinking ahead. This topic will be further discussed at a later time!

Future of “End of the Line”: I’m always looking to the future will improving the present when working on “End of the Line” I have plenty of ideas for more… but it all depends on how this goes. I thank everyone for repetitively supporting our passion! Thank you so much, everyone! Bye!!!

One of the most critical update for Sunblaze demo. Now you are able to pet a cat! Finally!

Hi everyone! I started to create some environment props for my new video game, here is a cozy house in the forest. I'm planning to switch from Unity to Unreal... Let's see what new challenges I have to face. Made in Blender and Substance Painter.

Rockin the Guitar, an Axe like Guitar I made for my Uni project

I worked so hard to get all four of them to the end safely, but then...

Levels' maps.

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
