I had a few free days over the holiday and thought it would be fun to try and amp up the visual quality of the water a little!
The results are a work-in-progress, whilst I decide exactly what I want the water to look like. Here are a few potential examples of initial styles I have experimented with.
This example is a non-transparent render. This isn’t designed for water but could be cool for oil (if I made it darker).
As an additional note, some of you may experience an offputting feeling from this due to the forced perspective. I’ve found that this seems to bother around 20% of people. Let me know if its something that disturbs you. (Either way it will be an option in the game, it’s just a case of whether it is on by default or not.)
