500... 500 is a scary number. For someone like me, 500 is a number I never thought would be possible. 500 unique viewers, watching this AU grow, and evolve... 500 hopeful individuals, waiting for content, watching a lazy person doodle about a dumb concept he had 4 years ago when Undertale came out a year before. 500 people expecting something from a project that has next to nothing done for it other than music, and a few sprites.
This number... is a symbol. A symbol that I could possibly make something, something meaningful. Something truly monumental, something that's beyond the normal realms of just an Undertale AU. 500 followers... for a dumb, 4 year project that has had barely any development for the past 3 years. Terrarial Myths started as a comic that I was making in Middle School, taking on the role of Frisk, the Fallen Child who came from nowhere. Soon meeting Flowey, the Guide of the Underground, and much more malicious that what was visible before... and from there... it went to Asriel, the Lord of the Celestial... before I finally cut it all from there, and decided to scrap the story. From there I stopped working on it because of how dumb it seemed.
2019... the year things started to become more worked on. The year where all of the redesigns happened. The year where everything began to improve. Not all at once of course, but slowly, gradually. Character have changed, new ones have been added. I started to understand Undertale further, becoming more enriched with ideas of deeper stories, deeper secrets, and darker things to realize from this AU. With 2020, most of it has become more polished, the designs more... elegant, more in-depth, something that truly represents these characters.
As a big thank you to the many people who have come together to make this project... no, not just a project. My project, my canvas, my... dream. All of you coming together to see what this dream has to offer. What this idea can hold. I cannot give enough thanks for what you all have given me in life. Thank you all truly... for looking at this small project, and thank you dearly for giving me the hope that I could possibly do anything with this dream, this canvas... this journal of thoughts, dreads, and epiphanies.
Thank you all, so much, for being part of the growing Terrarial Myths community, and deepest apologies for not having had seen it for so long.
I originally wasn't going to release this to the public just yet, but I've updated sprites a good bit.
I hope you enjoy them
