We're alive still!


Yeah, we're not completely dead... yet. Just been busy with other projects and keeping up with commissions. However, we have gotten a few things done and a few concepts in mind that we would appreciate your feedback on. We'll show the completed stuff later.


DAYTIME QUEST

  • Parry Mechanic - This is one specifically for bosses. Due to the rework of the boss system and not having infinite health, dodging projectiles is key. And while we understand that not everybody has a fast reaction time, you'll be able to parry these projectiles back at the enemy, dealing the same amount of damage it would do if they hit you. Of course, so this isn't exploited, they'll be a small cool down in between parries.

  • Local Multiplayer - Ever wanted to survive Wario's hell hole with a buddy? Well, now you can! Grab a friend locally or partner up with Parsec, huddle around the computer, and be ready for whatever the gang has in store. During the day sections, two players will be present; the camera follows P1, and if P2 is out of bounds, they will be automatically teleported to P1 so you don't have to worry about losing your partner. P2 acts more like the orange luma in Super Mario Galaxy during the night sections. An extra pair of hands, or an extra mouse in this case, will be necessary for your survival as the AI increases.

  • Crowd Mechanic - Due to how chaotic the new final boss is, having three whole phases now, having an extra boost in damage is always welcomed. Depending on how well you play, Wario and Co will appear on screen, cheering you on. They'll also sometimes throw hearts your way. This will also be indicated by a music change, much like No Straight Roads, a rock track of the final boss music will play in the background, along with the regular track.

  • Boss Rush - After completing the Daytime Quest you'll unlock a Boss Rush. You can play through all the main bosses and a buffed final boss.


MAIN GAME

  • New Models are getting Scrapped - Yeah, they just don't fit.

  • Name Change - We accidentally named the mod after an artist of one of the songs, whoops. Keygen Church is being renamed to Dead Estate, this change will be put into effect when the thumbnail I commissioned is done.

  • Mirror Mode - This'll be unlocked after beating the main story, pretty self-explanatory.

  • Additional Assets Folder - When the mod releases, a zip folder will be packaged with it, containing assets for thumbnails, artwork, and Steam assets. The Steam assets will also be uploaded to Steam Grid.


That's pretty much it, don't want to bloat the mod to the point it's gonna take two years to finish. Of course, some of these will come in later updates to not make you guys wait forever. Would really appreciate your feedback on these!
