Week 1

Welcome back!

Thought I originally planned to post every Sunday I decided to change it to Tuesday as more people tend to be online on social media and the like sooo..

This week has been relatively quiet as I am in the process of leaving Germany after my Erasmus.

I almost finished with the 1.0 version of the game document except the asset list as I lack the experience to say with 100% certainty what would be the requirements for UE4. Additionally, I’ve come across a lot of economy details which I wasn’t sure if I should keep in the document or create in a separate Excel document and later attach.

On the more creative side I have finished collecting enough reference material to move into preproduction. A while ago I scraped a very rough sketch of what the map will look like which you can find attached.

Legend:

  • Grey: Mountains

  • Light Grey:Towns and Estates

  • Dark Green: Dense forests

  • Green: General grassland

  • Yellow: Farming/ Farmable areas

  • Blue: The Ocean

  • Light Blue (to be added): Lakes and rivers

  • Brown: Islands
