WEEKLY UPDATE #3 - Let’s get modeling!
Hey everyone! It’s Tuesday again and that means it’s time for a weekly update! We accomplished a lot this week in terms of Gameplay, 3D modeling, and Map Design. Our lead modeler, Dan, has created many new UNSC weapons for the game and we’re very happy with the way they turned out.
MODELS
SMG
The SMG was voted on a recent poll on Twitter for the “Most Preferred Weapon” against the DMR. This is what Dan was able to create and I think it looks great and follows our art style.
Suppressed SMG
With the creation of the SMG, we knew that we would have to create a Suppressed SMG as well. Dan went ahead and added a suppressor and a Red Dot Sight the weapon and it looks amazing.
Magnum
The holy weapon. The magnum reflects a split between Halo 2 and CE, but with a more militaristic feel.
Battle Rifle
It wouldn’t be a Halo game without the iconic Battle Rifle. This is one of the first weapons that will be implemented into the game and will have the most love and attention put into it.
DESIGN
Over the course of the week, we’ve worked on blocking out a Multiplayer map. We want to have a variety of maps that can play Doubles and all the way up to Big Team Battle. These maps will be very carefully designed to ensure flow of the game stays consistent with Halo 3 multiplayer.
We won’t show off the block out just yet, but stay tuned for more images in this department.
TEAM ADDITIONS
This week we’ve added a few new members to our growing team. These members are great additions and will contribute a lot to the development of the game.
Isaac - He is a brand new member that will help out our Audio lead Mark with sound effects and everything else in that department.
Ark - Ark is one of our brand new Writers. He will help our main writer make sure our story remains as grounded and realistic as possible while remaining in the Halo universe.
Hunter (The_Wickidd) - Our new lead writer. He will lead the direction of the story and take our ODSTs on a thrilling story!
