The first part is simple. You meet with Toriel, and solve some puzzles which are tampered with.
The 1st puzzle’s door is jammed, and to open it you need to sacrifice your stick.
The 2nd puzzle’s door has the second and third switch’s functions swapped, confusing you and Toriel.
The dummy is already destroyed, and when you make it to the room with the first Froggit, a mysterious figure is seen.
They seem to be talking with someone, as you step forward they notice you and disappear.
As Toriel is about to discuss the encounter, an avalanche happens forcing you to run.
At the end of the chase, you fall into the Ruin’s lower half, and Toriel tells you to keep going.
We are now in the second part of the Ruins Arc. This is the part which I have the least ideas for.
What I do know is:
You will only travel 8-10 rooms on the lower half.
Their will still be enemies.
You will have to get certain items to progress.
Additionally, there two really important things happening in this area, one of which is a new combat system for the player.
Frisk decides to use brute force, understanding of certain weak points, and their bare hands to fight the enemy.
Of course, you have no stick, so this was a last resort of sorts for Frisk.
Firstly, some enemies have weak points. To learn them, check the enemy.
Some enemies will have their guard up, decreasing g taken damage. Use acts to make them put it down.
After killing an enemy on the battle field or attacking an off guard enemy, then they will lose trust.
For the actual combat, at base you have numerous options at your disposal.
Firstly, Heavy Punch. This one hit attack deals high damage, but is very unpredictable. (To land the attack.)
Secondly, Onslaught. This six hit combo deals medium damage. It’s relatively easy to land.
Thirdly, Bash. This two hit stun deals low damage. One bar is fast, the other slow, land both perfectly for a 1 turn stun.
If you don’t land a perfect you’ll take a bit of damage based on accuracy. (Cannot be used back to back.)
Stunning forces that enemy’s guard down and skips their turn. They also can’t join attacks.
Getting new items can change which moves you have, to fit your play style.
Now, the second important thing in the second part of the Ruins Arc is the Sans segment.
At some point you reach a bridge, where you see the strange figure, or Sans up ahead.
Your perspective shifts, and then you are forced to make a choice. Kill a defenseless child or refuse.
The options are: ‘ill make this as painless as possible…’ and ‘i can’t get myself to do this…’
Choosing the first option leads to a fight encounter. You must plead with yourself so you can convince yourself to attack.
Once the enemy is eliminated, you get back to Frisk’s perspective.
You’ll also end up fighting Sans, in a encounter named: ‘a new start.’ @PsPlayer2011
Choosing the second option leads to a change in perspective, and sans teleporting himself and the monster away.
As for the third part… not telling yall. Not yet at least. Snowden will be started tomorrow…. Ty for reading, and Ruins arc will be completed soon.
