Weekly Update 5: Progression

Hey guys, sorry it’s not Thursday. At this point I’m just going to make it someday each week. Whenever I feel like it or things are getting done really. Also thanks for all of the support and follows from the feature earlier this week. I really appreciate each one of you for following the game. Anyways, on to what’s been up.

So currently there are 108/150ish rooms. For reference, Super Skeleman had 103 rooms, but those rooms were also 10X10 while these are 12X16 so it’s a pretty big difference. Last week I said I’d talk about progression, so I will. In Super Skeleman, you have a relatively linear path until you get all of the abilities. This is pretty much the same with Skelemania, although it stays linear for a bit longer because there are more abilities to pick up. Also I don’t want people to get lost, but I’ll talk about that next week…

Until then, here are some new screenshots.

See you next week!

Coming Soon! #Nojong

I'm currently making a Tetris + Mahjong hybrid game called #Nojong. Match colored blocks in the field to make clears. After a number of clears, the blocks left in your hand are scored, so you want to try and keep triples and quadruples in your hand.

For some reason, it's really hard to change the alpha value of a tile layer in GameMaker. You can do this easily for sprite or instance layers, but not tile layers. So here's a video on how to easily update the alpha value of tile layers in real time.

Wonder if anyone can guess what kinda game I'm working on right now with this GameJolt session data as the only clue. I bet someone can sleuth it out!
