Warning: This update is also quite long, read at your own risk. This devlog tells you what has been done for the past week and what to expect next week, sorry for not uploading this yesterday, I was busy at school and very tired and just needed time to relax, anyway, enjoy! :)
Sprites
I have created the Deathstalker sprite that you have all seen already and have implemented it into the game, later on I will be creating unique skills for it but for now it can only do minor damage, later on it will act as a some form of mini boss and will be fairly difficult to kill and will give a lot of loot. I have yet to finish Ruby’s battle sprite, but have come to just over half done, so hopefully when I have more time to work on her sprite it will be done.
Maps
I have nearly finished Signal Academy and have included a few students in the area who you can interact with including teachers, after this I will be creating Beacon and add in as many things to interact with so that you have a lot to do there. I will also be creating some forest like areas that you can go to where there are lots of Grimm which are much harder to kill than in other areas, ideal for people who wish to grind for a while. Hopefully I will be making it so that depending on how deep in the forest you go, depends on how hard the Grimm will be, for example in the out skirts you will find Beowolfs and such, where more in the centre you will find Ursa’s, Deathstalkers and possibly Basilisks. I will also be adding in a place later on where you will find Nevermores and will full of very difficult Grimm that will require much more effort to kill.
Skills
I have included some more skills for the main characters and have needed to balance out some moves as one in particular was incredibly overpowered if Yang used her semblance while using this ability which was called “Winding Fists” which dealt 2000 damage per punch, and the ability makes you punch the enemy over 6 times so it near enough killed anything it was used on. I have also got a few skills still which need to be fixed as they currently make the user become invisible and glitch out for whatever reason, but I will be fixing them soon. Also you can learn skills from characters like Ruby and Yang by sparring with them and winning, this will allow you to learn skills that can only be learn’t by them instead of learning them in the skills tree.
New Idea
I found a plugin by Yanfly that I thought would be great for this game which allows the player access to a Skills Tree (It isn’t quite a skills tree in say a game like Skyrim, but is a menu where you can learn more skills). The skills tree is in the skills menu and allows the player to learn skills by paying gold and job points, and some skills require the player to do something else first like doing a specific quest or finding a specific character etc. Job points can be learn’t from either doing jobs like quests or killing enemies, however gaining skills from enemies is much harder as they only give a small amount, so doing quests is much more ideal for gaining Job Points.
To Be Done Next Week
To finish off Ruby’s battle sprite as it hasn’t be complete and has needed to for a few weeks now.
Possibly make a new Grimm sprite if there is time for me to.
Create more masters to learn unique skills from.
Finish off the rest of Signal and move on to Beacon.
Anything else that needs to be complete or something I think needs implementing.

Thank you all for enjoying the effort put into this game so far, we have reached 42 followers as I write this and I do feel very happy that everyone is enjoying the game and look forward to further updates and also for when the Demo is released!
