Weekly Update 5: Yoyo-Head

I’ve hinted at fighting in past updates, so this shouldn’t be too much of a surprise, but yes, you can hit things in the head with your head.

If there’s one thing that this game will prove, it’s that skeletons are very flexible. The spine, specifically. In Super Skelemania you’ll be able to turn your spine and skull into a yoyo, and swing your head at foes with incredible force. Most of the fighting in the game will be skull-based, strangely enough. You’ll see more of that in later updates.

Hello Skelemaniacs! No skele-related news, but I did just release a free demo of my new game today! It's a weird roguelike about casting spells. It's fun!

Wonder if anyone can guess what kinda game I'm working on right now with this GameJolt session data as the only clue. I bet someone can sleuth it out!

For some reason, it's really hard to change the alpha value of a tile layer in GameMaker. You can do this easily for sprite or instance layers, but not tile layers. So here's a video on how to easily update the alpha value of tile layers in real time.

I'm currently making a Tetris + Mahjong hybrid game called #Nojong. Match colored blocks in the field to make clears. After a number of clears, the blocks left in your hand are scored, so you want to try and keep triples and quadruples in your hand.
