This character design initially just started out with the eye and wings. I then thought it would be fun to sort of humanize this creature more and toss in some minor symbolism.

I created mini art prints as a farewell gift to my coworkers and supervisors on my last day today as a librarian. ^_^ I hope they like them. They were fun to print and cut out.
