As you have may noticed when you clicked on a + sign on top of the text "Start a fireside" you might see a warning that the firesides will be deleted from the platform. And to be honest I just wanted to make this post to give my honest opinions about firesides. So, to begin my thoughts, I would like to say thanks to GameJolt for the amazing ride I had with firesides, most are good, and some are weird, but worth it, nonetheless. I mean it's been 2 years since I've entered GameJolt, so I haven't really missed much. The best fireside I have ever hosted on my opinion is the "Roblox is down" fireside, in which it's a fireside where Roblox has shut down temporarily because of server issues. Since then, I felt a lot more comfortable joining in livestreams at random times in the platform. So, seeing that the firesides will be going away in 3 days (as I'm making this post) made me feel uneasy. Fortunately, I read the article on why they decided to remove the feature, and to be honest, I don't blame the company. For a quick summary, from the number of firesides ever created throughout the years, the company itself didn't even get a single penny out of any of the firesides, which it's really unfortunate. So, I guess there's no telling on why they wanted to remove the feature in the first place. But regardless, @gamejolt (or @cros ), I cannot thank you enough for the fun I have with the number of livestreams I joined in, and I'm sorry you were having financial difficulties you were facing because of that feature. I hope things can work out in the near future.
Also, jolters, if you were feeling upset because of the removal of the feature, then don't be upset at the company itself. Please, they did nothing wrong. If you wish to continue streaming however, then try some alternatives and hopefully you enjoy those alternative sites/apps just like you enjoy making firesides on GameJolt.
This was all just my personal thoughts and opinion. I hope you can understand even if you don't even realize on what I'm even trying to say.
Thanks for reading,
Adonis the Stickman
