Back when I made a post about how they're weren't a lot of games being on the Game-Key cards. (See post here.) -> https://gamejolt.com/p/nintendeal-from-twitter-posted-this-https-x-com-nintendeal-statu-hapnzans
Well.... turns out there were way more third-party games using the game-key cards then I initially thought.

I wouldn't be surprised to see even MORE third-party games using the game-key card.
Now from what understand, this game-key card has the disadvantages of both the Physical and Digital games.
It's physical, but the game is not on it, only the key license is granting you access to download the game digitally. (You have to be online to download it.)
If you want to play the game, you have to insert the red cartridge in order to play it. (Despite the fact that the game is a digital download.)
Sure, there's a couple of advantages to the game-key cards, but not much. You could give or resell the game-key card to someone else and they are allowed to play and download the game. It doesn't sound too bad, right? Sure, it seems fine for now.
However...
There is a catch. In the short term, it might seem fine for awhile, but what about in the long term? That might be an issue.
Why?
If at some point in the future, when the Switch 2 servers go down, (both the online shop and the re-download games section), the game-key card will become useless and you won't be able to download the game. Rendering the game-key card useless.
If you already own the game-key card and have already downloaded the game, you're fine. BUT... if you resell the game or if a person decides to buy those game-key cards brand new, those people won't be able to download those games since those servers have been shut down.
Now, I'm not saying this to fearmonger, but I just wanted to share my thoughts and concerns about these key-cards.
Personally, I'm not too crazy about them. I prefer to own physical copies of games whenever possible. I'm not completely against digital games. I have some digital games, but most of the time I prefer physical copies. This does have me a bit worried about physical copies of video games - especially for those who are collectors of physical games.
If you simply don't care and prefer to buy them anyways, that's fine and completely up to you.
What do you guys think? As always, be respectful in the comments.
Thanks.
