What do you mean it's been 2 months!?


Heya, Gamejolt! Just a quick status update to what’s been going on.

Act 1 is still coming along, albeit at a slower pace due to holiday stress and sloth. I’m getting as much done as my body will let me, and I can safely say that we might be able to shoot for an early to mid 2018 release for Act 1.

Again, I don’t claim to be a prophet. The game is just far along enough that I can say it’s very likely I might be able to reach that timeframe. But if Murphy’s Law has taught me anything, it’s not to make promises. I’m also a bit hesitant to reveal too much about Act 1, but I’m willing to answer any questions I get. I’ll keep you updated as the situation progresses.

In other news, I’ve opened a Patreon to help pay for some assets and resources I’ve been in need of, such as more custom artwork, spriting, and real life expenses. If you could take a moment to check that out at https://www.patreon.com/smgames , that’d be super terrific! Not even a requirement, the game will come out regardless of what I’m paid. The quality and time between now and release will just improve, and I’d really be grateful.

Let me introduce you to the new Mech line: Gendai Spec. Those are Mech that specializes in surprise attacks, covered operations, and stealth. They are equipped with melee weapons but one of Gendai's frames supports sniper rifles.
