So, the game was essentially finished, and I had planned to release it by Valentine's Day, but obviously that didn't happen. So what happened?
To put it simply: Blood of the Rose was not a good, nor fun game. It also had a lot of odd and kind of nonsensical pieces that didn't really add up to anything. If I'm going to release a game, I at least want it to be decent, y'know? I was really happy to work with my friend Harmony and Stilla on the project, but things just didn't work out in a way I was happy with months after its conception.
For those curious, the game would have acted as a teaser for a revival / reboot of my old FNaF project Luminous Dark. Y'know, the one that the Project Eclipse teaser games were teasing. This reboot would have been in the form of a novel which I would publish as a downloadable PDF and on AO3 for ease of access. Another reason BoTR got canned was because Luminous Dark as a project is still far from finished, and I need a pretty large amount of time in order to write an entire novel's worth of content. That in and of itself is difficult with the amount of projects I have in development. So, go figure...
Fret not, I'm still going to try and make a FNaF horror game. I just might wait until I'm sure I can finish it before sharing it around publicly. As a general update, I'm not sure if any of my projects will release in 2025. I want to ensure me and my team have the necessary amount of time to complete everything and provide quality experiences that everyone can enjoy. If that changes, I will let you all know.
