as most of you know, chapter 2 got very far into development, but I suddenly stopped posting updates
The truth is, I lost motivation. which led to me creating beneath the waves. the loss of motivation came from mostly the fact that the game was nor fun or scary.
after the first time, the jumpscares are predictable, which is why most games like batim suffer. you can make it as atmospheric as you want, but you aint gonna avoid the fact that if the game relies on building up tension for a jumpscare, it wont be scary after the first time.
beneath the waves has also slowed down development because I'm making my own original title. it will likely not be free when it comes out, but probably only like 50c aud.
I will probably unlist the game page for inky hell after I release the last update to chapter one
