What I found in the trailer

Yo, I researched the trailer a bit and the song in the trailer is called Stand By, the same as the text on the phone booth. The song talks about someone drinking away hoping to reminicise about a woman he loved. Maybe Jeremy is calling that woman, but she never picks up, as the song says, always on stand by. In the newest teaser you posted a smiley face made of pills, with the caption hooked. Maybe Jeremy fell into depression after getting rejected or something like that and wants to forget it. The teaser suggests that he is addicted to those pills for whatever reason. I hope I'm onto something. You said in a comment that at the point of Melodies he is at the lowest point in his life. Perhaps the broken relationship with this woman is what you mean. Also, at the phone booth, there are two visible lines at the top that go: "It's all over but the crying, and I can't get over crying over you." These lines are lyrics in the song "It's all over but the crying." which talks about a man that is reminiscing about a person that he loved deeply, and dreams about them frequently, but knows that their relationship is over. It also speaks of how he tries to forget them, but is unsuccesful. Maybe the teaser "Hooked" with the pills is meant to symbolise Jeremy getting addicted to these pills because remembering this person only makes him more miserable. Maybe I'm looking too deep into it. Anyway, I love this game and am really excited for it. Best of luck for developing! @UncleElement
