What I'm doing about the fact that the game is shit.


Ok, so maybe not 100% true, but the game is shit, and I’ll tell you why.

The game is lacking in sooo many departments right now, in terms of feel, “flow”, awesomenessnessness, wow moments - I could go on forever.

Thing is, making games takes time, and since I’m a one man band, every hour I spend on fixing that sneaky bug that I’m sure I fixed two weeks ago, is an hour I don’t spend om making the game fun-fracking-tastic.

But trust me, I will.
I’ll continue with the shorter update for the game, it’s almost ready, I just want that little oomph in, then I’m done, I promise.

After that however, I should probably stop spending time on making other than awesome. I have an amazing feature that will be so much fun for you guys to experience (hopefully, or I’ll eat my hat) - the problem is rather that it will be a time based feature, so with some bad luck you will rarely see it.

BUT, but, BUTT. Other than that, some audio of course, and then space balls amazing stuff. Ok, maybe I’m overselling it here. Some much needed feedback love will be put into the game - stuff like camera shakes, new ways to mess with each other, making the ride smoother for everyone trying to grab some points etc etc.

The list is long, but the features are hopefully small enough to be put in several at a time.

My goal here is to make the rounds feel as sweet as I can. And it all starts with the DevMode.

..ok, the DevMode will probably have to wait another couple of weeks.

It's been a long time since I updated anything on GameJolt, but I finally had the time to update the demo of Necken! A lot of new stuff that you could try if you like roguelikes =D
