Information
John was originally going to have his own rig made, and a unique render in ROBLOX HQ. The model would've been based off a post-forsaken era, where John is mostly cured from his corruption, but not enough to kill him. I also planned on animating him similar to Jason, but I never finished the model. I did actually start working on it though, and there is a WIP shirt that I was making specifically for him that would've been used if I had finished the model before losing motivation.
Moveset
Corrupt Energy was a relatively obvious pick, though the hard part was balancing it. I think I did alright, and it didn't really take long to figure out the basics and iron out the details. His status was also free, I just took Jane Doe's status from the wiki and polished the concept.
Digital Footprint however was much more difficult, as while I knew what I wanted for it I didn't know how to execute it. My first Idea was a extremely small, weak, but unavoidable trap that the killer couldn't get rid of outside of waiting it out. However, I revised it while rewriting in order to make it more akin to the normal Digital Footprint, but being counterable by quickly stepping out.
As for Lingering Past, I wanted to include John's trail in some way as Error 404 isn't really alla that interesting and wouldn't fit his kit very well. The obvious things to consider were its implementation, as if it were a passive it'd have to be super weak due to John being a support. Instead, I decided to make it decently powerful but on a limited energy meter, still able to mess with chases and give John some bit of an upperhand, but not enough to make him on par with someone like Elliot.
