Hello there! Long time no see, eh?
It has been a month and two weeks I haven’t written a Devlog. Since there was nothing interesting to talk about or to show, there hasn’t been so much updates. The only interesting thing I have been doing is a Bijuu Mike Comedy Visual Novel, known as “Bijuu Mike’s BAKA! Adventure. It was supposed to release this month but it was delayed to May due to personal problems, and due to me buying a Nintendo Switch and enjoying the hell out of it. But now, I think I have an interesting topic to discuss with you, the reader and player of my Yandere Simulator Visual Novels.
What’s next for the Yandere Simulator Visual Novels? When they will release? Which one will be the last one?
It is finally time to discuss this.
First of all, I want to announce that Yandere Simulator 2: The Sequel won’t get a sequel. While I was watching Razzbowski and Bijuu Mike’s Playthrough of the Visual Novel, I saw some comments of people wanting a “Yandere Simulator 3 Visual Novel”. When I saw this, I had the idea of making an additional short Visual Novel which works as an Epilogue to the five endings that were available in Yandere Simulator 2. Basically, it would be a short Visual Novel with five different stories, each one taking place after one of the endings of the game. However, this idea was scrapped because I think that the player should make his own “headcannon” of what happened after each ending. Anyway, there won’t be another sequel. The Main Saga is over.
What about Yandere Simulator: Rise of Evil 2? Will you make it?
While there are REALLY low chances of a sequel to it, I’m still considering doing it. I actually have a concept and a basic plot in mind, however I’m not sure if I should actually do it. If the game was ever made, it would tell the story about your character, that after Rise of Evil, has gotten a little bit popular at Akademi, while the school now has security guards around and Megami Saikou is keeping an eye on your character, as she knows that a relative of Ayano Aishi can hunt your character down for what he did with Ayano. The player would obviously play as their own character again, and they would play as Ryoba Aishi at the same time, as she seeks revenge for her daughter in prison, and tries to somehow free her. Info-Chan and the Saikou Family would be important to the plot once again. However, like I said, low chances of happening. But, may happen one day.
What about the Midori Gurin Visual Novel?
It is in development, side by side with Bijuu Mike’s BAKA! Adventure. I don’t think I should be releasing every information about it, since most of the game’s content are spoilers. The only thing I can tell about it is the same thing I have told other people: It is about Midori Gurin taking care of YandereDev while he is sick, as she tries to continue development of Yandere Simulator at the same time. Characters such as Mai Waifu and Info-Chan will appear. The game will have four different endings that will be unlocked depending on how many good choices you make while developing Yandere Simulator for YandereDev. While it doesn’t innovate in any way aside from being a Comedy Visual Novel, it has a feature that is included in Undertale that will add replay value to the game, and will add more comedy.
What about the Mission Mode Visual Novel?
…
There are good news, and bad news.
The good news are:
The game’s plot has already been written;
Development will begin when the Midori Gurin Visual Novel releases;
… And here are the bad news.
The first plot written, while not being so bad, it didn’t fit Mission Mode. It tried to be something new but with the feel of Yandere Simulator at the same time, but the plot ended up being more “new stuff” and almost nothing that reminded people of Yandere Simulator.
I am now re-writing the plot, currently in the half of the story, and now it looks better. It is something new but still with the feel of Yandere Simulator. It has lots of Plot Twists that will make people shocked. However, the thing that I most like about the re-write is that, for now, even though it is an alternate dimension of Yandere Simulator, it has tons of things that kind of “mirror” Yandere Simulator 2: The Sequel. The story is sometimes like “What if this certain event happened instead of this certain event? How will this certain character react?”, yet it manages to still be new. I’m really liking the result so far.
Will there be more Yandere Simulator Visual Novels after these ones?
… Well…
…
… I got some bad news.
After the Mission Mode Visual Novel, I won’t make another Visual Novel of Yandere Simulator until the official game comes out. I don’t want to continue doing Yandere Simulator Visual Novels forever and just be known for this. I don’t want to see people saying that “I am ‘milking’ these Visual Novels”. I don’t want to keep making Fan Games forever. I want to innovate, I want to do something new, which is why I decided to do the Bijuu Mike Comedy Visual Novel in the first place.
In fact, Yandere Simulator 2: The Sequel was supposed to be my last Visual Novel about Yandere Simulator. However, when I got the idea of doing the Midori and the Mission Mode Visual Novel… I couldn’t get the thoughts out of my head, and then I decided to do these two Visual Novels.
When the full Yandere Simulator Game comes out, depending on how many interesting backstories there are in the game or how many potential stories I can create based on a certain thing of the game, I can create more Yandere Simulator Visual Novels. But the full game will take a looong, loooong time to come out.
… Well…
These were the bad news…
… But there are still the good news.
I want to announce two games that I plan to develop as well. One of them is a fan game, and the other one is an Original Game, that means, created by me. Fun Fact: It will be my first Original Game, after 2 years in making Fan Games.
Colortale: An Undertale Visual Novel - After Frisk resets the timeline too much times in order to get a happy ending once and once again, the story of Undertale starts to change. As Frisk enters in a new timeline, it looks like everyone has changed. Everyone that Frisk knew is now full of anger, or sadness, or even fears. What will Frisk do: A Genocide with no regret, or a new way to find a happy ending? It is all in your hands in Colortale.
Life of Orphan - You are a child. Alone in the streets of your town. Without mother, without father… Without anyone. You need to make the right decisions in order to survive. As you try to find the truth about what happened with your mother, will you get a happy ending? It is all in your hands in Life of Orphan.
Colortale: An Undertale Visual Novel and Life of Orphan still don’t have a release date. However, I predict that Colortale may be out in 2018.
Well, that’s it for today. Pretty long text, huh?
