Whats going on? - Update 5/1/20


Hiya guys and gals.. and other people?? It's Nocturna/Andrew here once again.

This time, I bring you guys an update on what exactly is going on with the game and all that. I greatly appreciate the patience you have given me and my team. I apologize a lot for the lack of updates on the game, truth be told there just hasn't been a lot to update you all on. I've finally gotten around to typing some stuff down for you all. I hope this is rewarding enough.

So, the game is going very smoothly like usual. The team has been taking a lot of very well deserved breaks. When we started working on this project, we went head first without stopping to catch our breath, so time to slow down and think has been needed for quite some time now. The game has been on short hiatus every now and then, but trust me when I say this game is our top priority. I'm constantly discussing things with the Radiance team and we have been getting along with the game just fine.

However, there is some slightly bad news. We encountered a game-breaking bug within our code that resulted in us having to recode the main game frame. Fortunately, we are getting it recoded quite quickly, so that shouldn't push us back quite far.

The rest of the game has been fine, we're currently working on fully updating all of the rooms for the game, as well as getting character renders done. Once we finish the main game graphics, the team will move onto cutscene content, and stuff for the big bad Pirate Caverns.

Originally, I had planned to release a trailer for the game. I do still indeed plan to release one, however, I don't believe a trailer will be released anytime soon. In order for us to create the trailer, we would need half the entire game to be finished graphics and coding wise, and we are simply just not there yet. I promise you all, your patience will be rewarded when the time comes.

There's been a lot of misconception on what the team and I have actually been doing with this game... I have to say, this game is not your average FNaTI game. This is not just shutting cameras off over and over like most of the fan revivals and remakes you have played. I aim to make this innovate while keeping the feel of the original game, and so far that goal is being fulfilled. I think you will be very happy once we release the game.

That's all I have to say for now. I plan to release a short gameplay video for you all on YouTube soon, so there's something to look forward to. In the meantime, here's a small BTS image. Bye!
