Hello all, it has been a while and I know some of you have probably been wondering “where’s that game I was following all those months ago? Has everyone died?” And the answer to that question is no, we are not dead. For the bigger question, “Where is the game at?” admittedly, not where we would like it to be at the moment. A lot has happened over the past several months and I honestly haven’t been working on it as much as I should have. There was a long period of no communication amongst the team which led to no progress, which was my fault for not taking initiative as the project lead and I sincerely apologise for.
So, where to from here? I’m currently trying to get things going back on track for the project and working on getting a rough version of the prototype together in my spare time over the next couple of months. I’m going to be applying for a scholarship course at my University referred to as the Incubator Program, which is offered to students who have completed a diploma to work on a game which the University will help to market by getting me to events such as PAX to showcase the game. Part of the application process involves pitching the project you’re wanting to take in, which in my case is ALWAYS HUNTING - Jacob’s Story.
So basically, if I can get ALWAYS HUNTING - Jacob’s Story into the Incubator Program, I’ll be able to work full-time on it for the next year or two with maybe some casual work on the side. In the event that the application is rejected, I will still be able to work on it, but it would have to be pushed to the side instead in favour of a full-time job.
If you have any further questions, would like to lend development assistance or would just like to chat, hit me up via PM, email ([email protected]) or Skype (thewalshinator1).
Cheers,
Daniel “TheWalshinator” Walsh.
