Hello, did you forget that I exist, yet?
Yeah I bet you did, and I don't blame you.
"Who are you? Why are you in my feed? Why are there raccoons everywhere?!"
Hi, I'm Aru, previously known as "Lea". I'm a dinky little game developer that likes this "
extremely niche
"
little franchise about haunted robot animals in cheesy, 80s-period grease traps called family restaurants.
You might be seeing this post because you
A:
Found my art that I've posted on this website and decided you want to see more - hence why you're following this page.
B:
Saw my fangame's page - "Greenox And Co. - The New Generation", and decided to follow it after which the website prompted you to follow my personal page as well - which you did.
C:
Just randomly found my account out of nowhere... somehow.
Also the Raccoons are friends, please pet them - they're adorable and deserve it.
"Okay, why did you make this post?"
Because I feel like I should do something with this page, after not touching it for around a year, aside from an occasional comment and minor post. Sorry about that, by the way.
"What's up with the silence, regarding 'Greenox & Co'?"
I'm not going to beat around the bush - Greenox & Co. is on an indefinite hiatus. There is no work being done on the game, and won't be until I've regained interested in the project.
I simply do not find the thing as appealing as I did back when I first created it. The project grew way too fast and way too big for a first game. Don't get me wrong - I do not regret it being ambitious, but I do think that the scale of both content and story outgrew comfortable boundaries.
If I ever do decide to return to the game, it will most definitely be different from it's current vision.
I sincerely apologize for the numerous "more content coming" posts I've done. I should've just been more honest. But hey, at the end of the day - it's just a fan project fueled by passion.
The reason for the update-drought is based on several factors:
Me being mostly focused on my final exams - as well as ensuring that I can get into a university.
Being distracted by other things in my free time.
Various mental health issues that I think are best left out of this post.
"Bummer. What will you do now?"
I'll be taking on a different mentality whenever I post here - not aiming for large, significant news. Instead, I'll just post smaller updates and/or showcases of progress.
I still have some ideas that I am currently working on. There's a good few, however - I do think that there's one that those following me would be interested in!(judging by the type o content I have posted in the past)
Inspired by projects such as"Five Nights at Freddy's Plus", "Five Nights at Yoshi's", "TEALERLAND" & "POPGOES"
, I've been working on...
"Five Nights at Freddy's: System Spirit
" !
"System Spirit" is a project focused on telling an alternative version of the story present in "Five Nights at Freddy's".
However, the main focus of the game itself is to provide an engaging, replayability-rich Sit n' Survive experience. For now, I only plan on making the 'FNaF 1' chapter - focusing on the beginning of the story - introducing new versions of familiar faces, setting the stage and laying foundations for anything that might or might not come later. I'll spare you the details of everything planned.
Instead, I'll show you some WIP content!
I'm not publishing the game page just yet - thought you may expect for it to happen at some point. I first need to be 100% certain that this project will happen.
For now I'll be posting small, bite-sized updates and/or previews. Don't expect much in terms of big content updates. I don't know how active I'll be, but I know that it'll definitely be better than it was for the past year.
A rebranding of my personal page is also in order, though I've no clue on what to do with that yet
...
That's about everything I've wanted to say. If you've read this far - thank you for your time, and I wish you well!
See you next time!
