The release of Belle Boomerang went fantastic this morning on the Steam storefront! Sadly, the Game Jolt release will need to be delayed briefly. Don't worry; the boomerang will be in the hands of the wonderful Game Jolt community soon enough!

Apologies and thank you all for understanding!

Have a great day!

Working on designing an underground tile set for my indie game. Am I on the right track?

Ask me anything August 15th at 11am ET! Join me on reddit.com/r/NintendoSwitch/.

My favorite questions will win a Nintendo Switch game key!

I'm on Bluesky now! If that's your thing and you want to help me support Insectile, you can find me at: @narwhalnut .bsky.social or, use the link on my page :)

I'm working on cutscene features like smooth camera movements. Enjoy a snippet of this prototype tutorial!

For this #ScreenshotSaturday, I have a little Before and After! This is Act 1 of Belle Boomerang 5 years ago and today! Look at how much the game's grown!

(Psst! There are new Belle Boomerang stickers in my Creator Sticker Pack! Enjoy!)

Are these names fun? Cute? Nonsense? I am trying out this defamiliarized naming scheme for the different species in Insectile. I'd love any feedback!

What's an Insectile? 🐛

Insectile is a clever, turn-based RPG about puzzlingly shaped bugs! ...And now it has a Devlog!

If you enjoyed the charm of Belle Boomerang, I know you are going to love Insectile, So, give it a follow! https://gamejolt.com/games/insectile/894155

Working on some more enemy actions for my indie game.

Snails and other Insectiles with shells can now "take cover" which shields a portion of their body.

This is like the Tetris equivalent of a defense buff!

I will start answering questions in 15 minutes!

Let me show you my favorite Insectile: the Locksnail!

In place of doors and keys in a traditional Zelda-like, Locksnails will be scattered around the world. They act as mini-bosses closing off certain areas!
