Five Nights at Coso - Remake

Why 2.0 update is needed.

I've finally announced the biggest and last update for Five Nights at Coso Remake, I saw some of you were happy about this but there were a few that didn't quite understood why an update was necessary in the first place. So let me explain why I think that upgrading coding and artstyle for this game is a must.

"This was the first game that you've made, so it's ok if it's not perfect. People playing the 2.0 version wouldn't see how you improved overtime!"

And I kind of agree with this. Newer fans wouldn't get to experience my improvements over the course of my time in this platform.

Although, my will to make this game better passes that. Mainly because the game is a complete mess and I'm not exaggerating.

And let's be honest... who actually cares? People mainly seek for good fangames and rarely cares if it is someone's first ever game and it doesn't turn out as good as they expect.

To give you an example of bad coding, every single custom night screen, every single challenge, is a frame each (So there are like 16 or more!) which is unacceptable for me even at that time.

Starting from Coso 2 onwards I finally learned how to make only 1 frame for custom nights. But there are plenty of other terrible examples of coding that I made 2 years ago which will be solved in this update.

Other problems are the graphics. I'm not revamping the whole game of course, I'm only changing some of the drawings that are really awkward to me.

"You didn't answer us fully, what's the real reason on why you want to to update the game?"

Well, growing so big on Gamejolt made me realize that many of my games (especially FNaCoso 1) aren't really worth the success I'm receiving.

I know it was my first game and I shouldn't complain that much but I really feel like I could have done so much better if I wasn't so unexperienced and didn't rush it so badly.

I'm basically adding/changing things to make the game like I really intended it to be on the day I released it.

A final note I'd like to add is that I'm not changing any of the core gameplay. I'm just making it as much fun, good-looking and balanced as I can.

That is basically all I needed to state. To end this post I will show you some changes regarding the game:

Five nights at Coso's 1–2 Redesign V2

I really liked FNAF 1 REMAKE's aesthetic, so I thought about drawing the Coso cast as creepy/uncanny creatures. It's also my first time ever using Krita and my brand new drawing tablet.

I had a lot of fun, hope to make more soon!
