The landlord does not want to be sued for the terrible apartment they offered us. The landlord offered us an apartment with terrible water heating, which practically shocked my father since wires were in the water heater as my he was showering. She's attempting to sue and kick us out before we can litigate the problem, using a check she provided us and then cancelled.
