Windows 10 has gone too far...

I haven’t posted a news update in a pretty long time, and this might seem unrelated to the game, but it isn’t. I mean, it is related to the game. Sorry for the double negative.

Windows 10 is incompatible with a lot of older programs, for whatever reason I don’t know. Disabling Project 64 apparently wasn’t enough. Yesterday, after working on the game, I shut off my computer and it applied some updates. Today, after the updates, both Game Maker 8.1 and Game Maker: Studio 1.4 stopped working. They have the exact same error as Project 64: It starts up normally for a few seconds, then crashes for no specified reason.

So far I have tried:

  • Restarting my computer

  • Reinstalling both programs (and yes, I completely deleted the registry and app data folders)

If you have any suggestions, I’d be happy to hear them.

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

A house I've built a while ago. :)

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.
