Working on the new Flashback scenes (placeholder assets). In the current demo they are just a scrollable text, but in the final version they will be interactable and will have pictures and sound effects =)

Blackout is finally available!

The game is 10% off for the first week! We have also added a deluxe edition that contains the eBook version, twine files and a set of wallpapers! Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/875400/Blackout_The_Darkest_N… Itch: https://minichimera.itch.io/blackout

Adding "cutscenes" for some images. Still WIP. I first used this effect on the teaser trailer, but I liked the effect so much that I decided to add it to the game as well, it brings a nice dramatic effect and also invokes the comic book style =)

Release approaching!

The day has finally come when the art is final and I am able to update the old screenshots (and gif!) :)

If you're press/youtube and need a review copy, let me know!

Hello!

I'm glad to announce that we just launched a version of Blackout: The Darkest Night for kindle devices!

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08BSRRHCD

The kindle version features the complete story of the game.

We hope to have more news on the game launch soon!

Cheers!

Minig-games are now linked to the relevant attributes, so they will be harder or easier depending on the value of your attribute =)

“I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity” – Edgar Allan Poe Started working on polishing some aspects like adding fade in/out and adding some animation to tape-covered text. What do you think?

Work in progress for an in-game gallery where you'll be able to see the art unlocked throughout the game. For the next update I will show the New Wenders map, and how the game uses location events to refresh the player memory and entice exploring!

Sneak peek of a WIP piece for Blackout. If you played the demo you probably know where this will show up!

On other news, the text is done and edited! If you want to know the final word and passage count, check our devblog:

If you played the Blackout demo, you probably noticed the map is just a placeholder and serves to nothing but aesthetics. But we wanted to make it something the player can use as a reference for story events. Full post: https://minichimera.wordpress.com/2019/05/31/the-map-of-new-wend…
