KOF '98 is one of the most played KOF games ever along with 2002 (cough cough the Magic Plus II hack that i fucking hate for reasons). it introduces Shingo Yabuki who is basically the KOF equivalent to Dan from Street Fighter, and that would later become an important character in the story. Also Rugal makes his return... once again. The story is that basically Chizuru Kagura (that one woman from KOF '96) restarted the timeline to invite all the previously-gone characters like Geese (died in Fatal Fury 3), the Hakkesshu team (They all commited suicide in order to summon Orochi), etc. This is technically the last game in the franchise before '99 which would try to change the gameplay a little bit adding team supports and stuff idfk. The input reading here is messy as crap I don't like this game.
