So, say we have a drawing with black line art.

Like this one, for example.
Now, this looks kind of boring and hard on the eyes.
But, if you add a layer above the line art layer, and put a clipping mask above it and use very dark red...


Then your drawing will look much easier and more interesting to the eyes.

To make a light illusion, just add strokes, instead of coloring the whole thing.
