Hey, hey, hey! Stefannofornari Games here, writing another devlog.
I’m sorry for only writing a new Devlog 26 days after I announced that Yandere Simulator: Midori Adventure - The Visual Novel was back in development. I know, I know… It took a lot of time to write this devlog, but hey, at least I’m writing it now, right?!
But anyway, let’s get straight to the point, and talk about Yandere Simulator: Midori Adventure. Oh, and I recommend you keep reading this entire devlog, because I have an important announcement to make in the end of it.
First of all, I have to talk about how much progress I did with the game since I got back to developing it, 26 days ago. Well, if I have to say, I think the game is only 25% complete by now. It will come out in 2018, but I don’t know when. I’m trying my best to finish the game as fast as I can, but without rushing it, of course.
Now, I’m gonna say that, since I got back to develop this game, I made a few changes to the main story of the game. They are big changes, but they affect everything positively, so don’t worry about that. Of course, if I tell what are the changes, you’ll get spoiled, so… I’ll try to talk about them without spoiling anything.
Basically, the original story didn’t have so much… Dept. The original story of Midori Adventure was more focused on comedy and on cute moments, with NO emotional moments. This meant that none of the characters in the story would have a character development, it would just be a comedy story, and that’s it. Of course, that was not good. So, I decided to add emotional moments to the game. At the same time, I gave one of the characters of the story… More dept. You will see what I am talking about when the game comes out.
Another change that I did is that the game will have more references/easter eggs. Originally, the game would only have references to Yandere Simulator Memes and things related to it only for comedy, but, of course, that wouldn’t be enough to make the game funny and unique. So, I decided to add references and easter eggs related to other things, like I do with all my other games. Don’t worry, they won’t be forced jokes or something like this!
The main plot of the game, however, has not changed. Yandere Simulator: Midori Adventure still is about the character known as Midori Gurin taking care of YandereDev after he gets sick, while she develops Yandere Simulator all by herself. The only things that have changed are only certain scenes and character development.
I wish I could talk more about the game, but the Devlog is getting big, so I have to end it up here. My next Devlog will be about important choices in the game, and how they affect the ending. So, stay tuned for more news about the game!
Buuuuuut, before finishing the Devlog, I have an announcement to make…
