Hi,
first off, the patch changes:
Added pirates. Pirates add a new mechanic to the game, stealing points from you when they hit you or your defenses. They steal more points for hitting walls than the player, and even more if they get to the city, so you better stop them. They also hurt like any other enemy, they carry that sword for something!
Changed a bit the scoring. Now you don’t score points for enemies killed by a wall or by armor (that is, only enemies you actually kill by matching colors will be scored).
Changed some stuff at a code level, you shouldn’t notice but it’s cleaner now and it makes me feel better :D
And now some jibber jabber. Its taken me a while to update the game, that’s not because the changes were hard to implement (not harder than previous patches anyways), but because I’ve been kind of busy. If everything goes well I may have a job soon, so I don’t know where that leaves the game, to be honest. I will try to keep implementing things, and I will keep you up to date. I really want to finish this project, but if I start working I don’t know how much free time I will have, or if I will want to keep programming when I get home ^^”.
Also, the graphical artist has vanished for a while, so you may want to get used to the funky graphics, just in case xD.
Last but not least, I feel like the game is too easy now. Maybe it feels that way because I test it a lot and therefore play it a lot, having more experience than the average user, but wanted to say it anyway. As always any feedback in this matter will be greatly appreaciated.
