As I'm sure those of you who follow Oakleys Wilderness Kitchen know there hasn't been any updates on the game for quite some time at this point.

I started Oakleys Wilderness Kitchen as a passion project in my sophomore year of high school to pass time while I was away from my family for personal reasons. I had a big dream, I just hadn't considered how big that dream really was. A lot of time has passed since then, and I'm now going into my second semester as a sophomore in college.

Starting college has been brand new territory for me, and has caused me a lot of stress so far- and I know this stress will only rise in the future as I continue to take harder classes. Because I have so many studies to attend to and little time for the small things like hanging out with friends and making music, I've somewhat lost the time and motivation to work on Oakleys.

With that out of the way, I am in no way saying that Oakleys is dead- rather I'm saying that it will likely not release for a long while. I hate to give my fangame the same fate that so many other fangames have had, so I will find time to change the game into something different (such as an ARG), or continue the plans I had for the original game.

As it stands currently Oakleys is in a very primitive state, if you couldn't already tell from the renders and various teasers I've posted throughout the years. On top of that the old laptop that I had all the models and game data on has since broken, leaving me to start from scratch. This means new models, layouts, and possibly a base story for Oakleys. I need to learn a lot more about the intricacies of blender and gamebuilding- however I think I've improved a lot with sound design since the last game update.

I'm really sorry for not bringing this up sooner, I hope you can all understand.
