As I am sure it has been for a lot of others, 2020 has been a very eventful year for me.
This year's been known for a lot of negative things happening in the real world (and there have been a few negative things online as well, no doubt), but for me personally it has been quite a decent year in terms of game development.
For starters, this year was the first time in almost 5 years that I've announced a new game, and have stuck to its development closely since its reveal.
I had taken quite a large, considerable break from game development (even with starting some projects here and there but not continuing with them), and especially taken a large break from using GameJolt, so coming back with a new game felt like a completely new experience all over again for me.
I have always wanted to return to this platform for such a long time but never had any reason to until this year, as I had been tinkering and attempting so many different ideas & prototypes and nothing ever really stuck - until TEALERLAND.
I've met a lot of new friends, got into contact again with a few of my old friends I had met years ago, and have had a lot of new experiences and opportunities that I would have never imagined having this year.
Because of this year, I have also met @Ultranite and have joined to helped co-develop his game, DRYAD.
It's really surreal that the year's already coming to a close, considering how it almost feels like 2020 had just began not that long ago.
I am very thankful for the fact I've met so many new people and have learned so many things, but I am looking forward to 2021 as I think it will be a great year, considering all the plans I have for it.
Before I go, I am very proud of my game's fanbase and community. Seeing all the support and feedback this year has been phenomenal and I've learned a considerable amount from it. I am very, very thankful to have an audience that is excited to play my game when it fully launches.
I hope to see everyone again in 2021 very soon. :) Happy new year!
